  1. the movie starts out with the old crazy man Ralph getting hit with a semi truck right after he tells the five young men they are doomed. They had to come to town and it seems as if it was a funny horror flick. The old man rides up the side of the building saying youre doomed, youre doomed. There is a dead woman in the house the young men are staying. Would really like to know the name of this movie

    ReplyDelete
  2. Crazy Ralph was a character in the horror classic "Friday The 13th" (at least parts 1&2). I hope this helps.

  3. I am looking for a WWII black and white movie title from a flick I saw back in the late 70's. I only remember that the ending scene was set in a graveyard with the Germans advancing on a hastily made position and defended by ??spies?? or agents both men and women. I distinctly remember a bridge blowing up at the end and partisans.

  4. Did you see this movie on television or in a theater? It sounds like "Edge Of Darkness" with Errol Flynn.

  5. There was a sci-fi movie I saw on cable a few times in the 80's. It wasn't a great movie but I'd like to see it again or at the least find out the name.

    Here's what I remember:

It was set in the future after a world war that was fought by men in giant robots.
(Sort of like a Mech Warrior but I think the movie predates the game.)

After the war the giant robots are outlawed and dismantled.

As it turns out two of these robots are still around (buried?) and at the end of the movie they are resurrected - one is manned by the "good guy" and the other is manned by the "bad guy".

They have a climactic battle, the good guy wins and... well, that's all I remember.

Does this sound familiar? Does anyone know the name?

    Thanks!

  6. i think the movie came out in the 90's on disney channel (maybe). it's about a kid who goes back in time to the medieval days and the only parts i remember are him and some people hiding in a trapdoor in the floor and someone covers it with hay because people are invading their village. the other part i remember is at the end when he returns home, they are outside putting on a play or a show or something. I hope my description helps. trying to figure out the name of this movie has been driving me crazy.

  7. Sounds like "A Kid In King Arthur's Court"(1995). You were right about it being Disney. Among the cast members are Kate Winslet and Daniel Craig. It is available on home video.

  8. Referring to the William K. "Box" inquiry, can't find anything with a similar plot for the 80s, just "Robot Wars" made in 1993.

  9. HI all,

    Looking for a movie name.

The plot - an escaped mental patient/killer hides on an island where he befriends the daughter of the lighthouse keeper. The authorities are searching for him, but she hides him until the authorities move on to search the next island. Once the authorities have moved on, he looks at the girl in a weird way, she realises that she has been fooled and runs away - he chases after her - end of film.......

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers to all.

  10. The movie starts out with two friends at a wedding. During the wedding one of them meets a woman. They start dating and get married. After they get married he starts to think she is having an affair. They get into an argument and he leaves the apartment. When he gets back later that evening the police are there and she is beat up. She blames him and the story continues with her making him out to seem crazy. He gets sent to an insane assylum and finds out his friend, from the wedding, has been having an affair with his wife. When his wife comes to visit he gets another patien whom he has befriended to distract the orderly and he strangles his wife. It ends with her saying "they will get you" and he responds "don't you remember? I'm crazy."

  11. To Victor,
If the killer was a spy, the movie could be "Eye Of The Needle" with Donald Sutherland. Can you remember any stars?

    ReplyDelete
  12. To Libby,
This sounds like an episode I remember from "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". Did you see this in a theater? Any actors or actresses come to mind?

  13. I remember seeing a movie in the late 1980's or early 1990's. The story is of a police officer from California that is teamed with a grossly incompetent FBI agent. They are trying to track down the killer of a police officer. The person responsible belongs to a White Supremacist group. They end of the movie is with a shoot out in a man made cave many feet under ground. I believe that the lead actor was Don Johnson, but I can't be sure.

    ReplyDelete
  14. This is the plot of "Dead Bang" (1989), which does star Don Johnson.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The Film starts with a Suicide bombing in a square. The investigating officer has a daughter that has gone missing. As he tries to solve the bombing he finds out that his own daughter was dating the bomber, and the video clip in his office of the whole bombing. Which shows a lady running to the bomber before he goes off was actually his own child. The movie runs in two time frames, one week before and present. It ends with the father running to the house where the bomber lives to find his mother crying at a photo. Any one know the film title ? name? etc... It is really bugging me!

  16. Check out the movie "Rendition", released in 2007. The plot you describe is one of the threads. Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are included in the cast.

  17. this is vague, but im looking for a movie, possibly early 80's, that has a memorable moment where a girl is riding a kids ride (horse 25 cent). its about a guy who works in a superstore, walmart type. he and the girl are there over night when two guys break in to rob the place. they are taken hostage and during that time she gets on the 25 cent horse and rides it wearing a white tank top! its driving me crazy!

  19. Sounds like "Career Opportunities" with Jennifer Connelly and Frank Whaley. It was written by John Hughes and released in 1991. It is available at Amazon. Click here. Career Opportunities. Special thanks to fellow film critic David Ramsey for jogging my memory.

  20. I saw this movie when I was a kid in camp, so it's either from the 70s, 80s, or at the very latest early 90s. A group of kids run away and take up residence in an abandoned house. They clean the place up by painting it and raking out leaves. I remember one scene in particular where one kid puts hand prints on the wall. One kid ran away by hiding in a dumpster. I think he was trying to avoid boarding school.

The only other part I remember is the end where they find a metal box under a statue with a paper rose inside. Then they discover the box has a secret bottom with a jeweled rose. There may have been some robbers were after it because I vaguely remember cops present. Sure hope you know what this is because I'm lost.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Here are a couple of suggestions: "Never Never Land" and "Camp Nowhere". Both have kids on their own in either an abandoned house or cabin.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The plot- a young teen falls in love with an older guy, he thinks that they are the same age and when he finds out he gets so pissed. But they end up together at the end of the movie.

    ReplyDelete
  23. This plot could be several films. Do you remember a star or when you saw it? It could be "Down In The Valley" or more recently "Whatever Works".

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sorry, I saw the movie back in the 1990's late 1980's. I think the movie was made in the 1960-1970 era. The only thing else I can remember is that the guy either played in a band or was a music teacher because he played a guiter.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Can you remember any stars? The 1970 film "Norwood" featured a guitar player and a young woman.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi, no sorry, I was too young and it was too long ago for me to remeber anynames. The girl had to be about 15-16, and the guy was like 17-19. Something like that. i checked out the titles that you thought and it wasn't either of them. Thanks though

  27. Need help with a movie title. Seen this when I was younger. Movie was made in possible the 80's, sci-fi I believe. It was about a pilot that dies (but doesn't know it), and spends a bunch of time talking to someone he believes to be an officer or doctor (but I think he is "God"). I thought the name of the movie was Final Analysis, but I can't find anything about it. I think I rented it, but it was a long time ago. I really want to see this again!

    ReplyDelete
  28. This could be "Final Approach" (1991), which has the plot you described. It is currently not on DVD, but VHS copies are available.

  29. The movie is Australian, it's set in the late 1960's-late 1970's. It's about a Japanese couple on holiday somewhere in Australia. The japanese wife runs off with some australian bad boy type character. The japanese husband then goes on insane and goes on a murder spree rampage. He is tracking down his betraying wife with a japanese sword. Eventually the japanese husband killer tracks down the badass australian characters father, murders him and ultimatly the movie ends in tragety as the austalian badass and his new japanese girlfriend are burned alive after the car they were being chased in flipped over after being chased. There are chase scenes involving a japanese sport bike and australian muscle cars. Very cool film I can't remember the title though! please help.

  30. I've checked out plots of both Australian and Japanese thrillers released in the U.S., but can't find any with this storyline. If I come upon it, I'll let you know.

  31. Mid to late 1950's movie about a student who is obsessed with his teacher. To be friendly, she takes him out for a hamburger. She gets hounded by the faculty as well as the male students who attack her in the dark locker room. This is in color, and I thought the teacher was Lana Turner or Susan Hayward. Great movie though.

    ReplyDelete
  32. It could be "The Unguarded Moment" (1956). Esther Williams is the teacher and John Saxon is the student.

    ReplyDelete
  33. That is it!!! I have looked high and low for that title. My wife thought that I was fabricating this movie. Thank you so much. How did you know it was Ester Williams? I have only seen this movie once, and that was in 1989. This and Seven Year Itch were my favorite movies at that time.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I somehow remembered reviews that Esther Williams received on this movie. It was sort of a fish-out-of-water role for her...so to speak.

  35. Hi, I have been trying to find out a movie that I watched in the 80's, it was probably from the 60's or 70's. I do not know any of the stars that played in it. It was a mother, father, and daughter, and the daughter was seeing a bad boy, and her father was very upset and tried to get her to stop seeing this guy.(I think most of the film was located @ their house and @ their pool) In the end of the movie, it came out, she wasn't seeing the bad boy, but her father's employee, who was sorta a nerdy fellow. HELP.. I really liked this movie, and would love to see it again.

  36. Is this movie a comedy? A drama? There are a lot of films where parents, especially fathers, clash with daughters over boyfriends. The comedy "Superdad" and the drama "Splendor In The Grass" are a couple that come to mind.

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's a comedy I believe. I looked @ those 2 films, and those are not it. It's a much older film than Superdad, closer to Splendor in the Grass. I want to say it stars Jack Lemmon(or someone that looks similiar to him), but I looked @ his old films and none fit the bill. Sorry, I know I'm not much help.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I really thought 1973's "Superdad" was close to that plot. Bob Crane acted a lot like Jack Lemmon. Your movie is probably 50s or 60s? Is Sandra Dee maybe the daughter? "Gidget"? "Take Her, She's Mine"?

  39. Hi..This movie is from the 1960s or 70s. The plot involves a man with a station wagon trying to renovate a house in the slum of a major city. I think they steal his tools or destroy the work he did. Thanks for any help on this hard one.It was not a comedy.

    ReplyDelete
  40. It could be "The Landlord" (1970) starring Beau Bridges, but what you're describing sounds exactly like its loose, so-called-comedy remake "The Super" (1991) with Joe Pesci.

  41. Hi. The movie I am looking for is about a man who is the half brother of about 3 other brothers. He comes back to town after being away and falls in love with a woman who happens to be the wife of one of the brothers. He and the brothers all go on a hunting trip, the wife forgot to pack the husbands hunting coat, the husband gets shot by the half brother and dies. Another brother threatens him to stay away from the wife. The half brother has an affair with the wife and the other brother shoots him outside of her fathers house. Thanks for any help you can give me. I remeber a scene where there is a family picture being done and the mother of the boys has the half brothers mom get in also. This may have taken place around 1920s or so but the movie is 10 years old or so thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  42. This sounds like the 1996 TV movie "A Loss Of Innocence" starring Rob Estes and Jennie Garth. Estes plays the returning half-brother. The movie takes place in 1920s Utah.

  44. I'm trying to remember the title of this rodeo movie. I think it's probably an 80's flick but it may be 90's. It starts out with a family, dad is in the rodeo, they have a boy. They go out one night, dad is drunk, but convinces mom he's okay to drive. They get into an accident, mom dies, boy is injured. Dad also had won some money (though I don't remember how) and tears it up in the hospital. He leaves the boy with someone and he says he's going back to the rodeo. The boy grows up, and I'm not sure if he becomes part of the rodeo himself or if he's just looking for his father. In the end he finds out his dad hasn't been riding, but instead is a rodeo clown. Any help?

  45. That's the basic plot of "Cowboys Don't Cry" (1988) starring Ron White. Let me know if this is it.

  46. Im looking for the name of a relatively old animated movie. I dont remember much of it but here it goes.
Well it has smoething to do with like a musuem of anthropology and a dream box that emmits bubbles with the thought of children or something inside of them and there is a scary circus with like dinosaurs or something...sorry for the horrible descritpion i watched this a long time ago.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The 1993 animated movie "We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story" mixed kids with dinosaurs, an odd circus and the Museum of Natural History. This could be the film you are looking for.

  48. I saw a black & white movie or perhaps just an hour long show when I was a child. I do recall it was a movie with sound.
It was about a seemingly happy husband and wife in a suburban neighborhood. The husband was either thinking of leaving his wife for some reason or possibly thinking of having an affair with someone and decided to send a letter to tell her everything he was feeling and/or going to do. I think the wife was completely unaware that there was any trouble in the marriage or that the husband was thinking about leaving (or another woman). The letter is mailed. I think the husband changes his mind and tries to retrieve the letter but fails.
The next thing I remember about the plot was very near to the end of the movie/show. Life for the couple resumed as if nothing ever happened. I guess it went on as it always had but had gotten better. You get the feeling all has been bliss since that uneventful day. The couple had remained together happily. Then a postman comes knocking at the door. He says I have a letter that was lost in the mail for your wife. Of course, the recovered letter was "THE" letter the husband had written from way back exposing his intentions. Now how it ends gets a little fuzzy but I think he looks at her, holds her, and asks her to please not open it. They look at each other and she goes to the fireplace and tosses it in a lit fire. You see the letter burning and that's where you're left in the end.

  49. This may be an episode of "The Loretta Young Theatre", aka "The Loretta Young Show", which aired on television from 1953-1961. Good luck.

  50. alright i really need to find out the name of this movie. its an old animated movie from maybe the late 80's early 90's. its about these trouble making monkeys who get into this trunk of hats and they try them on and act out the different occupations the hats belong to. on is a bus driver/doctor/aerobics instructor. and they sing "the wheels on the bus" and "no more monkeys jumping on the bed"

    ReplyDelete
  51. There was a 90s movie called "Monkey Business - An Animated Movie". I haven't seen it, so I'm not sure about the plot. What you're searching for sounds more like a cartoon segment from a television series like "Sesame Street" or the current "Curious George".

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hi; I hope you can help. The movie I am looking for is a Black and White film from either the 50's or 60's. A plane crashes in the desert during WW2, and the ghosts of the crew haunt the crash site. Eventually, a recovery crew finds the crash site, and as each of the crewmembers's bodies is found, the ghost disappears--until only one crewmember is left.

    ReplyDelete
  53. That sounds like the plot of the 1970 TV movie "Sole Survivor" starring Richard Basehart and William Shatner. I'm pretty sure this film was in color. There was a black and white episode of "The Twilight Zone" called "King Nine Will Not Return" that's supposedly based on the same story.

  54. Thank you. Funny how our memories play tricks on us. I'll have to see if I can find the movie and watch it again. Thanks, again, for your quick help.

  55. This movie is about a guy (black actor) that in order to earn some money accepts to have sex with women to get them pregnant (women who want a baby but are either lesbian or want to be single moms). He gets carried away doing this and at some points finds himself having something like 100 kids. A judge sentences him but then in the end somehow there is a happy ending.I think this movie came out around 2004. Thanks for providing the title if you can

This could be Spike Lee's "She Hate Me". It stars Anthony Mackie and was released in 2004. This movie is available on Amazon. Click here. She Hate Me

  57. This movie is some kind of political thriller. The movie has a black man at a dinner party who makes eye contact with a white woman at the table. Next scene, they retreat to the bedroom... Later on in the film, it turns out this woman is working for an agency who's trying to set him up. Her father is the head of the agency and in the end, her identity is compromised she's killed and thrown in a hole of some sort.

  58. Can you remember any stars or about how old this movie is?

  60. The Black man could be Dennis Haysbert, Jeffrey Wright, or Don Cheadle. The movie is no more than 3 or 4 years old. The father looks into the hole and sees his daughter had been killed.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Also, the drug dealer that murders her finds out she's a spy after they've just had sex. He gets a phone call while she's still in the bed. He grabs her and orders his men to kill her. There is also a Jewish man who is in on the corruption, and is afraid of losing all of his money. He has a hidden safe with rare coins/ bonds that he tries to conceal.

  62. "The Bank Job" (2008) fits your description. Available on video, it takes place in England and is based on a true story.

  63. hello,
I saw this movie and I can't find it because I forgot the title. Maybe you can help?
In Texas, Nevada or Denver, not sure where it takes place, or if that's in the title? A small desert like town, a funny comedy with a brother and his girlfriend want to leave town for good to California, but the other brother keeps getting into trouble. Fights, drinking and swearing are the funniest parts. The main brother is calm and cool and the crazy brother is a nut.
His nutty brother ends up hurt, the good brother fixes all. The main characters are hillbilly trailer park types and the good brothers girlfriend is a hot little blond (famous) I wanna say he called her, baby or angel.
The whole plot is him bailing his brother out of trouble constantly, his girlfriend ready to leave town waiting on him and the trouble his brother gets into is hilarious.
I thought the bad brother was Steve Zahn but I couldn't find it under his filmography. Maybe he reminds me of him. Anyway I saw it about 3 years ago but I'm not sure of the release year? I hope you can help, I loved the movie, funniest ever! Thanks alot!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Are you sure they were brothers and not best friends? Also, any ideas on which famous actress played the girlfriend?

    ReplyDelete
  65. The movie I would like to find was -I think- a made for TV movie?
What I remember is a woman with -I think- 3 kids are at home and her husband has flown elsewhere on a business trip when a bomb goes off (mushroom shaped). It was mainly about "life" after a nuclear bomb and what after effects your would have to live with. One by one her kids get "sick" and die - and a neighbors infant is buried in a dresser drawer for a coffin when it dies. I think the actress that played the mom was Mary Steenburgen or Christine Lahti??

Can anyone help w/title of movie??
    Thanks

  68. It might be "Wisdom" (1986) starring Emilio Estevez and Demi Moore. You should be able to find this movie on DVD.

  69. All I can remember about the movie it that it has a guy(the main villian that looks like a woman that has one long fingernail and uses it to kill people with. It Was made in mid to late 80's maybe early 90's. It has two teenages that later on in the movie go to bed together. When the girl goes to bathroom the guy gets up and a coin starts rolling which then falls between two wooden floor panels and it lights up red right after that lights up red the bed moves and opens a secret passage to a secret room that might have been the girls father and all his military stuff. also in the movie the kids and the guy with the long nail have a chase in a factory or industrial type area.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Did you see this in a theater or could it be a TV movie? Can you remember any stars? "Dressed To Kill" and "Cherry Falls" are two titles that come to mind, but I don't remember the fingernail.

  71. i can't remember any stars and till 2 days ago i didn't think it was a real movie just a dream i had, but i found someone else looking for the same movie. Some other info that might help is that it may be more of a action movie and the guy with the nail(pinky nail i believe)is the leader of like a gang of leather wearing bandits and i think the teen who finds the secret room had to stop the villian from world domination or something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  72. sorry for the mix up but i meant that the villian was a guy with long hair and kinda girly looking not that it was a cross dresser or anything like that. i also want to say thank you for helping.

  76. All I can remember about the movie I'm looking for is that it's based in England and in the beginning a young boy finds a baby dragon and they grow up together. I believe it came out in the 90s.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Your plot sounds like "Eragon", which was released in 2006. Another movie with a similar plot is "The Water Horse" (2007). Are you sure about the 90s? Both films are available on DVD.

    ReplyDelete
  78. No. This movie I'm looming for is older and the boy grows up to be a man. I believe the news of a dragon gets out and some people try to catch it. I saw it when I was younger so it had to be before 2005 at the very least.

    ReplyDelete
  79. "Dragonworld" (1994) could be the movie you are searching for.

    ReplyDelete
  80. there was this one movie i saw where at the end, this boy with a (maybe) raspy voice dresses this girl/lady up in a wedding dress or something. When she is escaping, he tries to kill her with a voodoo doll that works. I think she kills him in the end, but i'm not sure. Another scene is where there is blood gushing from underneath maybe a garage door, and there is like a table or something.

  81. Did you see this in a theater or on TV? Do you know about how old this film is? Can you remember any stars? Could it be one of those "Chucky" movies?

    ReplyDelete
  82. it is definitely not a Chucky movie. It's not THAT old. I think maybe in the early 2000s.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Are you sure you saw this movie in a theater and not on video? Is he a young boy like in "The Omen"? Are there any stars you might remember? By the way, "Seed Of Chucky" was released in 2004.

  84. i am 100% sure that it is not a chucky movie. and yes, he is a young boy like in the Omen. I have seen that movie before. i dont remember much, but that i was young when i saw it, and i can hardly remember who was in it. im sixteen, now, so...

  88. "Same Time, Next Year" (1978) starring Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn fits the plot you describe. This movie is available on video.

  89. I'm looking for a movie I saw many years ago - it may have been made in the 1980s. The movie opens in a graveyard (or possibly family plot behind a house) and shows the grave of a young girl who disappeared many years before and has never been found (I don't think there's a date of death on the stone). I think there may be a friend/caretaker who refuses to believe the girl is dead since her body was never found. Anyway, all I can remember is that it was during some war (possibly civil war - clothing was prairie-style dresses and such - or maybe the men were just some renegades), and the house was overtaken by some men. There is a secret passageway through the fireplace of the house, and when the parents open it to try to escape, both are shot and killed. The girl is taken down there by one of the men, and she tries to run, but falls and is killed (and her body remains there, which is why no one found her - somehow they solve the mystery and find her skeleton in the end). I think the girl had dark curly hair, and the character's name may have been Elizabeth (could be totally wrong). I've been trying to figure out what movie this is for years, so if you can help I would be most grateful!! I remember renting it from the video store - not sure if it was made-for-TV originally.

  90. Possibly it's "Child Of Glass", a 1978 made-for-tv movie. VHS copies are available.

  91. "All I can remember about the movie it that it has a guy(the main villain that looks like a woman that has one long fingernail and uses it to kill people with. Some other info that might help is that it may be more of a action movie and the guy with the nail(pinky nail i believe)is the leader of like a gang of leather wearing bandits and i think the teen who finds the secret room had to stop the villian from world domination or something like that."

Some more info, the villain dies at the end because the boy makes him stab himself in the neck with his own pinky finger. Also, the villain wants to either poison or blow up a dam. The boy who finds the room has a cool motorcycle also. The villain looks like a member of twisted sister, with a super long pinky finger. I too am looking for the title of this movie.

  92. Did you see this movie in a theater? On TV? Can you remember any actors? Maybe it's one of "The Crow" movies.

  93. A movie that begins with the star, male caucasian, in a hotel or office. Just outside there ia a busy intersection, and a car bomb or something explodes. The bad guy, also male caucasian, kills sort of official types. It is discovered that the government is involved somehow in the bombing. And that the bad guy started killing because his wife and child were killed in the bombing. Maybe around middle to late 1990's. I used to have the VHS.

    ReplyDelete
  94. This kind of sounds like "Collateral Damage" with Arnold Schwarzenegger - before he became the Gov.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I watched this movie in the late 90's on either Showtime or HBO. It was a science fiction thriller. The story begins with a woman being assaulted by some sort of monster that was pretending to be an attractive man (both Caucasian- if that helps). The man turns into an evil demon creature and the woman wakes up, realizing it was just a nightmare. She turns to her husband who comforts her. You then discover that they're on some sort of space ship/station. They have a child together and everything seems fine, until this guy shows up on their ship (I don't remember the circumstances). The guy just happens to look like the man from her nightmare. He winds up killing her husband and kid. I specifically remember a scene where the kid explodes from entering a pressure chamber (scene stuck in my mind because it was very gross). The man turns into the demon and chases her all over the ship. At one point she gets covered in blue paint or goo. I never had a chance to see the end. You have any idea what I'm talking about, please let me know.

I know for sure it is not Event Horizon, the Demon Seed, or Saturn 3. Thanks!

  96. I don't remember any movies like this, but an episode of "The Outer Limits" (the more graphic version on Showtime) comes to mind. Can you remember any actors? I'll keep checking.

    ReplyDelete
  97. The movie was about a group of strangers waiting in a terminal for a bus. The bus is late, so to pass the time, they each start telling each other about the nightmares they had the night before. Each nightmare played out to the audience (it was a horror anthology-type movie). The only one's i can remember are one that a young kid told about going camping with some boy scout friends and their scout leader (who turned out to be a psycho) and one having to do with a vampire. at the end of the movie it's revealed that all of the people are dead, and the bus is taking them to the afterlife. Any idea?

  99. Hi! I remember watching these movies when I was younger. like maybe 5 or 6 years old. Can you help me figure out the title of these movies. I think these were 1990 movies. definitely made before the year 1998.

  100. I need more info on your first movie. Can you remember anything else about the plot? Was it animated? Maybe a Barbie or Tinker Bell film? Your second request could be "Gold Diggers: The Secret Of Bear Mountain" (1995).

    ReplyDelete
  101. Wow! thanks for the second movie! it was gold diggers. as for the first it wasnt an animated film. they were caucasian actors.. i think the little girl was trying to take care of the fairy and keep it a secret..

    ReplyDelete
  102. Part of your first plot could be the live-action "FairyTale: A True Story" (1997).

    ReplyDelete
  103. This one has been stumping me for years, mostly because I was so little when I saw it. The only part I remember is that the horror film may have had Vincent Price , and part of the plot was that the 'artist' was putting skeletons of people into the statues, and that a girl was being chased as the next victim. This is not a House of Wax movie. It may have been part of a horror series. I saw this in the '70's and I can't remember about color or not because we didn't have a color set all of that decade. It was 74-75 when I saw it. My sister doesn't think it was Vincent Price, but she remembers it too.

  104. It could be Roger Corman's 1959 horror classic "A Bucket Of Blood". The star was Corman regular Dick Miller.

  105. I'm looking for a movie made in the 1990's about a boy that gets a dirtbike and it has a mind of its own. I'm not sure of actors or anything and I loved this movie when I was a boy and would love to see it again. Thanks

  112. Check out "Never Too Young To Die" (1986). It features a young John Stamos, on the cool motorcycle, and Gene Simmons as the villain. I have to credit my daughter Michelle with finding out about this movie. There should be VHS copies still around.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Can you remember any more details? Was it a fantasy film like "D.A.R.Y.L." (1985)? Maybe an episode of "Amazing Stories"? Possibly a kids buddy movie and not sci-fi?

  118. I'm interested in a film I saw on television in the 1970s. It was about a little boy who lived in a city (maybe New York?) or at least a larger urban city like it. His family was poor. There was a kitten he found which may have been either just a part of the film or maybe a major plot point. I think it was around Christmas when I saw it (I was maybe 10 and it was the early 70s.) It possibly was called "JT" or the boy's name was JT. I remember it was one of the earliest films I remember seeing as a child that touched me (I know I cried during part of it.) I'd like to see it again if you have any information on it.

  121. I need help to find this movie, I really dont know much about it cuz I was like 10 or something when i seen it and im 21 now. It was in color and all i remember it was about a boy and girl..young like 10,11,12 yr old and they were in love. I think they robbed a bank or held ppl hostage somewhere and the boy had a gun, he might have shot a man in the knee or leg, but the girl asked a older hostage lady about love and becoming a women, and then the police came and they said they wanted a plane to go somewhere and wanted to be able to walk out w/o none brothering them. he said yes and they walked out and then the boy reached in his pocket and an officer shot him cuz he thought it was a gun. Everybody ran up and saw it was just a flower or rose he was going to give to the girl and she cried. Thats it I cant remember anything else..sorry

  122. Did you see this on TV or in a theater? It could be "Wisdom", starring a young Demi Moore and Emilio Estevez.

  123. I'm looking for a sci-fi movie that I saw when I was younger (late-70's or 80's). It featured a rag-tag group of pirates or smugglers or something - the leader was a human male & the group was made up of humans & alien(s). There was also a young boy that was being ransomed or they were returning him or something. Anyway, what really sticks in my mind was their space ship - it was a reddish color and resembled, of all things, a buxom woman. Thanks!!

  124. I'm looking for a movie that I saw probably in the 80's(early)and what I can remember was I think a bus of teenagers went to a camp(day or overnight)(along w/ chaperones of course), they were by the water. And this car of thugs comes along and starts terrorizing, and eventually raping some/all of the girls. Thanks for any help.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Your sci-fi movie may be "The Ice Pirates" (1984), but the spaceship sounds like a prop from "Flesh Gordon" (1974) - not that I ever saw the flick.

    ReplyDelete
  126. There are dozens of films about gangs of thugs terrorizing teens. Can you remember any stars or more details? A 1973 TV movie called "Terror On The Beach" depicted an attack on teens and their family.

    ReplyDelete
  127. No, it wasn't Terror On The Beach. This had more teenagers, and was set more in a wilderness setting, may have had a pond/lake. Sorry I don't know any of the actors.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Thanks...I finally found it by looking for the worst movies of the '80's lol. "Space Raiders" - 1983

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  130. Ah! "Space Raiders"! A Vince Edwards movie I had forgotten. I also spaced-out on the shape of the spaceship. A good search on your part.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I think it was more like horror than drama. I know it wasn't any of the Friday the 13th's. But that's all I can remember. Sorry

It's not disney, but some sort of off-brand animation i think.

    Thanks in advance!!!

  134. It could be 1984's animated "Rose Petal Place" - featuring the voice of Marie Osmond.

  135. I remember a movie I saw in the early '90s that I don't know the title to.
There is a small, meek man in a white suit and hat that is tracking someone. He walks into a bar and asks "Please, I need to find him".
Afterwards the scene shows everyone in the bar killed.
The end of the movie has the small man walking (outside an airport?)with two suitcases--still dressed in white--someone is coming to get him. He drops the suitcases and just stands with his arms by his sides until they catch up to him and he lifts his hands and kills his attacker.

  136. Sounds like the killer in the French film "Who's Got The Black Box?". Made in 1967, it's probably too old. I need more info about the movie. Any stars you may remember? Any more scenes? Is it a drama? Sci-fi? Horror?

  142. I hope that this scene is the same movie---a guy that resembles Bruce Willis is holed up in his apartment with all his food in special containers.
Some of the bars the man in white goes into looking for this guy seem to be western type bars.
The rape scene may have been some kind of jail.

    ReplyDelete
  143. This is starting to sound like two different movies. I'm trying to remember Willis' apartment in "The Fifth Element". Good luck.

  147. When we were in 6th grade at an overnight camping trip. We saw three short story movies. The one I remember had a family (mom dad & kid) that had a weird computer clock that would say, "One O'Clock... One O'Clock... Time for lunch... time for lunch!" in a woman's voice. It's set in the future. At the end the parents see a glowing light under a door. They are scared to death thinking its a monster or alien invasion. When the door finally opens, it's just their little son who just saus, "Peek a boo!" and the movie ends. Any clue?

  154. Hello, Im looking for a movie I saw on TV in the 90s. Its about a newly married couple and the husband is upset that their sex life is gone, so he seeks advice from someone and starts learning about the Kama Sutra... It wasn't a racy movie at all. Its more the philosophy. He ends up realizing that he never understood how to connect with his wife thru sex, she had past abuse that she never let go of, and he helps her get over her memories with what he learned...
I think it was Indy and was on TV the same time as the Kama Sutra: A Love Story. I might be projecting the Kama Sutra connection because of that. They are very different movies.

What stuck with me was the part when he complains that she cries during sex, and the advisor person tells him, women keep all their emotions in that part of themselves...

There were no familiar actors in it to me. Thats all I can recall...

    ReplyDelete
  155. Maybe it was an episode of the short-lived fictional TV series "Kama Sutra". I can't find any mainstream movies that match your description.

  156. I have been trying to remember a film- Maybe 80's or 90's- I believe it was a made for TV movie without big name stars. At the close of the film they part- I think the title had to do with Coins... I know it's not allot to go on. Wish i could remember more.

  166. Okay-I don't remember any stars...it was an old black and white movie that I saw on TCM. Setting is WWII
A woman is working in a military office of some kind as a secretary. She likes to pretend to be a spy and spouts off things she thinks a spy would do.
She works for an officer, and at the beginning of the movie she is sitting in on a meeting and there are officials from another country who are speaking their native tounge. She also speaks their language and after the meeting tells the officer what was said. He asks, "How did you know not to say anything during the meeting?" and she responds, "I just thought 'What would a spy do?'"

She eventually does become a spy and works as a nanny in a german officers house.

  167. Sounds a lot like "Shining Through" (1992) starring Melanie Griffith.

  170. Help with a movie from the '80s (I think): A young boy disappears while near the jungle. Turns out he was taken by a local tribe. I think the dad goes back later, when the boy is about 18, and finds him. At that point he's part of the tribe, complete with dress and makeup.

  172. Hi. I have two movies that I would like some help with. Both movies would be from the seventies. The first movie is about a group of violent children being transferred from a mental institution. While enroute the bus wrecks and the children are taken in by vacationers at an isolated farmhouse. The children then kill the vacationers(about 8 or so). I remember one scene where a woman was taking a bath and the children emptied an aquarium into the tub filled with piranhas. The second one is about a group of soldiers who learn to ride motorcycles to avenge the deaths of their wives.
The wives were travelling when they encountered a group of bikers who caused their vehicle to crash after the women ignored the bikers who were flirting with the women. Hope this helps. Thanks in advance.

  173. Your first movie may be "Devil Times Five" (1974 - aka "Peopletoys").
While there are many biker revenge films, my guess would be "Chrome And Hot Leather" (1971). Good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Your plot sounds like "Haunting Fear" (1991), loosely based on a story by Edgar Allan Poe. I think it's available on DVD.

  181. Ok, Put your appreciated skills to work on this one for me. You know Haunted house on the hill with Vincent Price. The movie I am looking for could be a remake in the 70's. I remember people being paid to either stay or survive the house through the night. One scene shows a man moving through a crawl space I believe with a lighter in his hand when the walls move in and crush him. He had seen something of value there. Can you help with this one? Thanks for your time and consideration with this.

  182. Did you see this movie in a theater in the 70s? It could be "The Legend Of Hell House" (1973). The gory theatrical remake of "House On Haunted Hill" wasn't released until 1999.

  185. Was this a theatrical movie or TV? Do you remember any stars? I need more info with so many biker movies out there. It could be something like "Hell Riders" (1984).

  186. The film I'm looking for was set in Australia and I saw it on tv in the early 1990's, sorry I can't be more specific. The general plot was that a teenage girl had been date raped by a group of young lads in a small town. The general consensus seems to be that it was her own fault and the lads were getting away with it. An older woman comes into town on a mtorbike, befriends the girl and encourages her to press charges. Can't exactly remember what happens then, think the lads kidnap the girl and she jumps out of a moving car but that could just be my hazy teenage memory! I don't know the names of any actors.

  187. Since I don't know if it's a theatrical or TV movie, I can't help much. I need more specifics. Part of your plot sounds like "Blackrock".

  188. Hi, thanks for that, it wasn't Blackrock but it gave me a place to start. Following further research, I think I've found it, It think it was the 1988 film, Shame. Thanks so much, it was driving me crazy, just have to try and locate a copy now!

  189. Hi I'm looking for a movie that I only truly remember one scene. The movie was a theatrical movie of the action variety from the late 90's I believe. And the only scene I really remember is one of the last ones where I think a video rental store that the final gun fight takes place in blows up. One of the overarching plots is deals with a guy and girl in about their 20s and the guy saves the girl. Haha typical I know, but I could really use some help trying to figure it out. Thanks!

  190. My guess is "The Big Hit" (1998) starring Mark Wahlberg. A video store gets blown up near the end. It is available on video, but probably not from the store that was destroyed.

  191. I'm looking for a movie that I saw back in the early 80's when I was a kid. I remember a scene in the movie where a teenage girl is riding her bike at night and is hit by a car. I cannot however remember the name of the movie or the actress who played the young girl. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  192. Are you sure it was a theatrical movie and not a TV movie or special? What was the plot? It almost sounds like one of the "ABC Afterschool Specials". If it isn't, I'll need more to go on.

  197. Was this a theatrical movie? Do you know how old it is? Do you remember any stars? It could be something like "Can't Hardly Wait".

  198. I watched this movie sometime in the 90s but I'm really not sure when it was made. I believe it's a Christian based film. It's about 2 teenagers, a girl who is not religious and she's a partier and a guy who is religious. They start dating and he goes off to college. He doesn't believe in premarital sex but she convinces him to lose his virginity. While he's at college, she continues to party & drink. He comes home one weekend and gets her to go to church with him. After church they're driving home and she's talking about how next Sunday she might get saved. They then are in a horrible car crash and die. She goes to Hell. I can remember in the end you hear her pleading for her life saying "but I was going to get saved next week!" I haven't been able to find out ANYTHING about this movie. Help please?

  199. I checked faith-based movie lists and couldn't find any that fit your description. Did you see this film on TV? In a theater or church? Can you remember any stars? I need more info. Maybe it's a Lifetime or Hallmark movie?
